This is my own outdoor adventure blog, and there’s a reason I’ve included it here.

I originally started the site in 2014/15 on a free WordPress platform where it received just 35 views (18 visitors) in its first year. Since then, it’s grown significantly. From January 2025 to March 2026, the site recorded 119,000 clicks and 7.47 million impressions, as shown in the Google Search Console data below.

This is especially significant given the wider impact of AI search and Google’s AI Overviews (zero-click results), which led to a general decline in website clicks during 2025. As the data shows, you can see a small dip in traffic to the site during the latter part of 2025, but then it’s grown during 2026.

In 2020, I migrated the entire site to Squarespace, where it’s now fully managed and maintained. I run the site and write all the content myself.

The project reflects my work across SEO content writing, Squarespace website design, and ongoing site management - all working together to build long-term visibility and performance.
